12 young people hospitalized after taking the drug ‘Nice Guy’

12 young Israelis were hospitalized with poisoning with the drug “Nice Guy”, the Israeli police and the Ministry of Health have opened a joint investigation and warned emergency rooms across Israel.
“Nice Guy” is one of a wide range of drugs known as “Newsstand Drugs” in Israel, which are used to get high or induce drunkenness. The Ministry of Health warns that these drugs, also known as “Mastulon” and “Mabsuton”, are dangerous, illegal, addictive and can cause death.

The drugs were apparently mixed with an anticoagulant, which is dangerous for public health and can even lead to death from bleeding.

Two suspects were arrested by Haifa District police officers in Kiryat Motzkin and Haifa for supplying drugs. Evidence linking them to the crime was found during a police search.

Police intend to seek an extension of the detention of the suspects in the Haifa Magistrates’ Court, as the investigation continues.

The Ministry of Health and the Israel Police continue their efforts to locate and seize drugs and prosecute distributors.
