AKIPRESS.COM – Bilateral trade between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached $ 3 billion in 10 months of this year, 32.9 percent more than the previous year, finprom.kz reported.
Most of the trade – 72.5% – represents the export of goods from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan. It rose 34.2% to $ 2.2 billion since the start of the year. Imports increased 29.5% to $ 833.5 million.
Kazakhstan exported 2.3 million tons of wheat, 47,800 tons of barley, 26,100 tons of rice, 283,500 tons of flour, 998,700 tons of Portland cement, 89,800 tons of asbestos, 58,300 tons of black iron ore, 58,300 tonnes of zinc ore, 350,700 tonnes of coal, 59,100 tonnes of fertilizer, 2,600 tonnes of cotton lint, 19,500 tonnes of aluminum, 58,400 tonnes of oils and fats, 10,400 tonnes of sugar and confectionery, 11,600 tonnes of plastic products, 3,500 tonnes of textile materials and supplies, etc.
Uzbekistan exported 2,300 tons of confectionery, 3.8 million liters of ethyl alcohol, 1,600 tons of raw tobacco, 21,700 tons of gypsum, 111,500 tons of quicklime, 468,300 tons of medicines, 91,300 tons of fertilizer, 14.11 tons of clothing.
The governments of two countries aim to increase bilateral trade to $ 10 billion.
