BuCor conducts ‘surprise drug test’ of staff
The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) performed a surprise drug test on 73 randomly selected staff on Friday, June 18.
“All results were negative for the presence of methamphetamine hydrochloride and marijuana metabolite,” BuCor said in a statement released Sunday, June 20.
The surprise drug test was carried out by BuCor’s Health and Welfare Branch, headed by the Chief Superintendent of Corrections. Henri N. Fabro.
BuCor said the activity is part of the government’s continued fight against illegal drugs.
“In line with President Duterte’s mandate against illegal drug use, BuCor’s Managing Director, Gerald Q. Bantag, supports the promotion of a drug-free workplace in all government offices, officials and office staff. of Corrections, “he said.
