Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated the people of the state for the selection of Madhya Pradesh by the central government as the top performing state in the field of drug rehabilitation.
Chief Minister Chouhan was nominated for Madhya Pradesh’s selection in the NMBA (Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan) State Category Award and Datia’s best performance in the District Category Award in the ranking conducted recently by Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment as an important achievement. He said public awareness efforts would be increased in this area in the state.
Chief Minister Chouhan said drug addiction is the root of destruction. Drugs ruin humans. We must lead Madhya Pradesh towards detoxification. After being praised by the central government, the state government will endeavor to raise public awareness and make necessary changes to the alcohol policy.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that, in line with the expectations of the Indian government, a sound policy will be implemented after holding talks with different sections of society, social workers, etc. Uma Bharti continues to make efforts for social change, necessary steps will be taken after soliciting her suggestions.
Chief Minister Chouhan said there is a need for government and society to work together on how to steer the younger generation away from drugs. Alcohol and other intoxicants should not be allowed to ruin youth. Various measures will be taken in this regard.
