Eight new cases in Jalandhar: The Tribune India

Jalandhar: Continually on the rise in Covid cases in Jalandhar, up to eight new cases were reported in the district on Thursday. The district tally reached 63,572. No less than 62,031 people have recovered from Covid in the district, while the number of active cases in Jalandhar has reached 40. With no new deaths, the toll remains at 1,501. Of the 18 81 629 samples collected in the district to date, 17 43 942 samples have tested negative. Results from no less than 1,512 samples are still awaited.

Hoshiarpur: District police arrested three smugglers, including a woman, and collected intoxicants from them. Dasuya police arrested Karan Kumar, a resident of Johlan village, and recovered intoxicating capsules.
