A 49-year-old Gleason man was arrested last Monday on charges of violating a harassment injunction and four counts of jumping bail for misdemeanor.
A 61-year-old man from Eagle River reported that tires were stolen from his tractor-trailer while it was parked at the truck stop. The trailer had been parked in the parking lot over the weekend; when the owner / operator picked him up he noticed that two rear outer tires had been removed from the rims. A 37-year-old Merrill woman was scammed for around $ 950.00 after being contacted by someone claiming to be from her bank.
Lincoln County 911 Center received a report of smoke in the Harrison Hills area on Friday afternoon. The recreation assistant responded to the area and was able to locate a 60-year-old man from Jefferson, Wisconsin, whose UTV had caught fire. The man had just refueled in the Gleason area, and a few miles from the trail, he heard noises coming from the engine. Before he knew what was going on, the UTV was on fire. The Russell Fire Department responded to the scene.
One person was injured in a UTV crash on County Road. N near Heafford Road. in the town of Bradley on Saturday night. The lead UTV would have struck a piece of firewood on the road and lost control. The UTV rolled and the driver was ejected. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
A 39-year-old Irma man has been arrested for the first OWI offense on County Road. S near Dean Rd. Sunday morning. He was also seen for open intoxicants and was operating on the left of the center.
A 34-year-old man from Madison was arrested and cited for traveling at 109 mph on USH 51 near County Rd. H on Sunday night.
A 68-year-old man from Montgomery, Ill., Arrested for driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated on Sunday night following a driving complaint.
Ten people reported hitting deer last week.
