Man arrested after $ 10,000 worth of cannabis was found on business premises in Dungannon


A man in his 30s has been arrested after a package containing £ 10,000 of suspected cannabis was found at a business premises in Dungannon.

Police were called to an address in the Market Square area shortly after 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Inspector Taggart said: ‘Officers attended and took away the package before discovering 1 kg of herbal cannabis suspected of an estimated market value of £ 10,000.

“A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of a class B drug. He has since been released on bail by police pending further investigation.

Inspector Taggart continued: ‘The fight against the illegal supply and use of drugs is a priority for the police and we will continue to make Northern Ireland a hostile environment for those involved in drug trafficking. within our communities.
