Odin’s Smoke Shop Search Reveals Illegal Drugs, Guns, Says BINTF – Chico Enterprise-Record


CHICO – Agents from the Butte Interagency Narcotics Task Force and the Butte County Sheriff’s Office Special Fraud Unit served two related search warrants at the current and former locations of Odin’s Smoke Shop July 13.

One of the locations is 175 East Ave. in Chico, which is a former smokehouse, and the other is 234 West Second St. in Chico, which is a current smokehouse.

According to a press release from BINTF, officers found East Avenue store owner Brandon Kropp living with seven other people inside the facility. They also allegedly found and took four illegal firearms, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and fentanyl possessed for sale. Other evidence related to controlled substances was also taken.

During a search at 234 West Second St., officers allegedly located and removed an illegal self-made ghost gun, cannabis products that were not licensed for sale by the owner of the smokehouse, and evidence of consumption illicit drugs, according to the Liberation.

Five people were arrested.

Kropp, 46, was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal firearms, possession of controlled substances while armed with a gun, possession of an illegal ghost gun, possession of controlled substances for sale , possession of cannabis for sale and possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.

David Cooper, 40, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal firearms, possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon.

Jordan Shelton, 35, of Orland, was arrested on suspicion of having an outstanding warrant and possessing controlled substances.

Angel Wallen, 41, a resident of Chico was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and Cheyenne Stevens, 37, of Chico was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
