CITY OF ZAMBOANGA – Police authorities arrested a young man from Talipao, Sulu, and seized a kilogram of suspected crystal meth during a bust-buying operation on Thursday morning (September 23).
Zamboanga City Police Director Colonel Rexmel Reyes identified the suspect as Elmer Dalhadi Esmiraji, also known as Totoh, 24 and currently unemployed.
Esmiraji agreed to sell methamphetamine to authorities at a pier in the village of Arena Blanco.
When he received a necklace, Esmiraji claimed he was unaware that the bag he was carrying contained illegal drugs. He also claimed he was only 18 years old.
Among the items seized from Esmiraji was a pile of âboodle moneyâ used to supposedly pay for methamphetamine.
Reyes estimated the value of the seized methamphetamine at 6.8 million pesos.
