It’s an odd repeat of events, but the news is a flat circle I guess.
For those who may have forgotten, UFC 235 saw traces of drama before Jon Jones vs. Anthony Smith. Drug tests revealed two “unwanted” results of the metabolite of turinabol in Jones’ system. The Nevada State Athletic Commission even had to renew Jones’ license given that Jones is a special case when it comes to Turinabol.
Smith responded to the drama at the time, saying he “didn’t care.” Nonetheless, he went to the Jenna Ben Show two months ago and went on to say:
âI never told anyone that Jon had failed all the drug tests before our fight. Every drug test. I never spoke about it once in any interview, in any media. Nothing. The commission called me the same day to let me know that he was still failing his drug tests.
For context, Smith was reacting to the abrupt beef that had grown between them when Jones made an obnoxious comment about what “would have happened” if someone had broken into his house like the intruder did. by Smith. I think it’s called Wahlberg Courage.
Nonetheless, he only recently found his way to Jones.
In the week of our fight, Jon failed all drug tests. Anything that helps you sleep at night, mate.

In a way, this news is appropriate. Like Jones’ big move to heavyweight, not much is happening.
