A Camborne man who was arrested for anti-social behavior is in a tougher spot after he allegedly kicked and spat at officers who arrested him. Camborne, Pool and Redruth Police visited the house at the end of May after reports of a ‘disturbance’.
Officers arrived and arrested a man for disturbing the peace during the incident on Saturday May 28. During his arrest, the man had to be sprayed by officers.
He then spat and kicked the officers who arrested him and was taken into custody. Police then searched him and he was found with several bags of suspected illegal drugs.

Officers suspected he was going to sell them and further arrested him for possession with intent to supply controlled substances. Photos posted on Facebook show the bags he had in his possession. They include a large bag filled with what looks like cannabis, a smaller one also containing a substance similar to cannabis, and three bags of blue pills.
A spokesperson for the local force said: “We will not tolerate anti-social behavior and aggression against our officers, especially when it has such a significant impact on area residents. Please assist us by reporting incidents. via 101/999.
