Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Oct 2 (ANI): Citing the recent seizure of Ganja near the Andhra-Telangana border, national spokesperson for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), K Pattabhi Ram, said on Friday that YSRCP leaders had a role to play in drugs originating from Andhra Pradesh.
“After the capture of a consignment of heroin at the port of Mundra in Gujarat which was supposed to be delivered to the state of Andhra Pradesh, we find that all over the country narcotics are captured, they come from Andhra Pradesh, âPattabhi said.
He claimed that the TDP had consistently called on Jagan Reddy’s government to open an investigation into Ganja’s smuggling, yet they closed the case against the Andhra Pradesh YSRCP leader.
Recently, a huge cargo of Ganja was captured near the Andhra-Telangana border, carried by the son of YCP leader Uday Bhanu. Due to the cordial relationship between Jagan Reddy and Telangana CM, the name of the son of the YCP deputy has been removed, âPattabhi said.
Additionally, he said the TDP has challenged YSRCP MPs to come forward for a drug test if they are clean.
âWe had given them the date of October 1 for the drug test. Our young leaders and I came here for the test in Hyderabad. YCP MPs, by not coming, proved that they were involved in the test. the drug case, âhe said. noted.
âOn Thursday, YSRCP MP Dwarampudi Chandra Sekhar openly declared that he had warehouses in CÃ´te d’Ivoire, a drug haven in Africa where heroin is heavily traded,â Pattabhi added. (ANI)
