Hoshiarpur: Police recorded two separate cases of robbery against two people and arrested one of them. Jagjit Singh, a resident of Garhshankar, told police that Surinder Kumar, a resident of Garhshankar, allegedly stole two mobile phones and 10 kg of copper from his shop. The police arrested the accused and arrested him. A city surgeon, Dr Arvind Kumar, told Model Town police that Sunil Masih, a salesman working at his medical store, allegedly committed the theft. Hoshiarpur: A vendor at the Kanhaiya Lal gas station in the village of Alowal on the Hoshiarpur Tanda Marg filed a complaint with the Bullowal police. He alleged that on Tuesday evening, four occupants of a car first filled up with fuel worth Rs 1,000. Subsequently, they allegedly snatched a sum of money from him in the amount of Rs 12,340 and fled. After registering the case, the police opened the investigation. CO
Illegal mining case against 2
Hoshiarpur: Hariana Police arrested two people for illegal mining. The police seized three tractor-trailers loaded with sand from the accused. On the complaint of Mines Officer Naresh Kumar, the police arrested Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi, a resident of Kailon, Daljit Singh, a resident of Khudde, while the third accused fled and was unable to be identified. Smuggler detained with intoxicants
Hoshiarpur: Mukerian police arrested a smuggler and recovered 10 grams of intoxicating powder from him on Tuesday evening. The accused has been identified as Gaurav, alias Gauri, a resident of Mahajana Mohalla, Mukerian. An FIR against the accused was registered by Mukerian Police under the NDPS Act.
